Q. What types of products do you use? Are they good for photography?

A. I use pro products in my kit and most you may not have heard of. There are a lot of lines now that are made by artists for artists. To name a few I use Graftobian, Viseart, MAC, MUFE  and Temptu Cosmetics. I also use airbrush which are made for photography and HD television. See below.

Q. Do you use airbrush makeup?

A. YES! I specialize in Airbrush makeup and swear by it. A lot of my wedding makeup has been done using Airbrush because it lasts longer and feels amazingly light on the skin.  It has great coverage without feeling “heavy” on the skin. It does not “sweat off” or look cakey. I use many different brands of makeup for airbrushing. 

 

Q. How long will my makeup last?

A. The makeup will last all day(12-15 hours). The Airbrush makeup lasts up to 15 hours depending on the weather conditions. I have done many brides at 6 in the morning and their makeup is perfect until the end of their reception. Of course, you will have to touch up with blot powder or blot paper and touch up your lips throughout the day.

Q. What happens if I cry/sweat?

A. Don't worry, everything I use for weddings is water resistant or waterproof, from the foundation to the mascara. Simply dab your eyes or forehead with a tissue, and keep on looking gorgeous!

Q. What if I’m not used to wearing makeup?

A. I always work with each client to ensure he or she looks their absolute best. If you are unsure about makeup, I will work together to create a look that enhances your best features and plays down the areas you may not be as happy with. I don’t want you to feel that I’ve transformed you into someone no one recognizes anymore – unless that's how you want to look!

Q. Do you have experience with Ethnic/Acne/Mature skin types?

A. Absolutely!! I specialize in custom-blended makeup to match any skin tone no matter how dark or light. I LOVE working with the many different shades and tones of beauty! I also have a full range of professional skin care products that I use to prepare delicate, mature, sensitive or acne-prone skin before makeup application to achieve the very best results.

Q. Will you do a trial for my wedding?  

A. This  is entirely up to the client and is strongly recommended. By getting a trial run it gives  your Makeup Artist ample enough time to  meet, discuss, plan, and make your dream look come true. It’s like a practice session in preparation for a public appearance. After we create your makeup look that is timeless and elegant, we will discuss wedding day timelines. My job is to make you feel at ease in every way.

Q.​ How do I prepare for my makeup trial?

A. I recommend that  you wear a white or ivory shirt the day of your trial(or what ever color your dress will be). The makeup will look different against different colors, so to be sure your makeup will look the same on your big day as the day of your trial, it is recommended you wear the same color as your dress. If you have all of your accessories picked out (veil, tiara and jewelry)  bring that as well. It is also a great idea to book your trial on a day where you have a lot to do. It will be the best time to test as to the longevity of the makeup on your skin when you wear it on a busy day.

 

Q. How far in advance of my event should I contact you?

A. It is best to contact me as soon as possible. There are so many important vendors that you have to consider on your wedding day, with your photographer being one of the most important and most likely a large portion of your budget. You want to look at your photos and the timeless beauty of your day with memories that will last a lifetime.  ​

 

Q. Do you work on location?

A. YES! The only thing I request is to provide a clean work area, outlets and table so Makeup artist can have a separate space

 

​Q. Will you bring your own products or will I be responsible for supplying them?

A. Yes. Weather you are getting spa services, going to a class or getting makeup done you do not have to bring your own products. I provide every thing that you will need.  However, If you have a favorite mascara, lipstick or lip gloss then by all means bring it. 

 

Q.​ What is the best look I should do for my wedding?

A.I recommend to go with what makes you feel comfortable. However, keep in mind that the goal is for you to look and feel like yourself(weather you wear minimal to a lot of makeup). Be open and honest with me. Do not be afraid to hurt my feelings as this is your day. So if you want to go with a green eyeshadow...Go For it. We will work together to make it work so it is very flattering in your pictures for years to come.  ​

 

Q. Do Gift Certificates Expire?

A. Yes! You Are Able to use your gift certificate up to 1 yr before it expire.  ​

 

Q. May I Bring My Child To My Appointment?

A. In order to maintain a relaxing, calming environment, we recommend that childcare arrangements be made. If arrangements cannot be made, an adult must supervise children. Unless you are receiving pageant/flower girl  makeup services this does not apply. 

Q. What size party can you accommodate?

A. I can do up to 8 people comfortably provided we have enough time. It all depends on what time you have to be ready that day. If their are 8 ladies and you have to be ready at 10 in the morning then I will need to have my assistant and may need to call on a extra aritst it all depends on the party size.

Q. Do you do wedding hair?

A. Yes, but it depends on the style. I do not have my degree in  hair. So with that being said I can only do basic things. However, If you need a Hairstylist... I know plenty! So finding one for your big day will not be a problem.

Q. What is the difference between "AIRBRUSH & TRADITIONAL" makeup?

A. “Traditional” makeup is the process of custom mixing foundation and using brushes and other tools to apply the products. Traditional makeup is the easiest way to control the amount of coverage for your special skin needs. When you think “traditional,” think liquid, cream and powder foundations. Airbrush makeup is makeup utilizing an airbrush machine, which breaks down the makeup into small particles and shoots it out of an airbrush gun using compressed air. Airbrush makeup is quick and is great for use in tattoo coverage. Airbrush makeup is good for those who want light coverage to medium coverage. It is a great option for summer brides when heat and humidity are high. Airbrush makeup comes in both silicone and alcohol based formulas, and your makeup artist will choose which formula is best for you. At Sexy Visage I only use this technique for the foundation, contouring, and blush/bronzer. I do not airbrush eyes or lips

Q. Do you require a deposit?

A. Yes, before your date is set. I do require a 50% deposit. Remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to wedding.

Q. What methods of payments do you accept?

A. I accept Cash, Cash app, Credit Cards, Debit Cards and PayPal. Sorry No checks!!

Q. How do I book you for my wedding date?

A. I prefer to speak on the phone first to get all of the details of your wedding and what you are wanting for your special day. From there I will send you a contract of all the details that we discussed. Once I receive the completed contract and retainer you will be booked.

Q. Will I be your only event on the day of my wedding?

A. I often book more than one event on a given day depending on the size of the group, timing and location. I do not overbook and always make sure that I can complete everyone in the time discussed. Just a reminder, I only book another wedding that day once I have confirmed your schedule with you. Once the schedule is confirmed we have to stick to that schedule you give as I have already booked someone else based on that schedule.
